Najwa Salam Brax

Najwa Salam Brax is a poet in Flushing, New York with over 40 books in English and Arabic. She has a Master Of Arts from Lebanese University, and Master Of Arts in Literature from Queens College. Her English poetry, essays, and short stories have appeared in five nations. Four poetry chapbooks are in English: Ethereal Wings; Growing Wings; Daring Wings; and Wings. Three books have been published in Arabic: Zephrus Wings; Dr. Dahesh: A Great Writer and His Literary Works; and Halim Dammous and Spirituality in His Writings.

She says: "I see words as living cells. They join to one another to grow into organs and then into living bodies. I know a poem is finished when I feel relaxed and satisfied after giving birth to an independent and living entity."
